As a business CDS constantly adapt strategies to suit the changing environment to ensure we meet the needs of our clients. Most recently, we have identified that our retail clients need to refurb and refit stores quicker and more cost effectively, whilst reducing their carbon footprint.
In line with these findings, we have introduced a cradle-to-cradle approach to refit projects which includes an equipment take back initiative.
Our approach includes:
- Collaborative planning – to reduce downtime on site, making programmes leaner
- Maximising offsite construction benefits (including net zero)
- Value engineering scopes to ensure projects are as cost effective as possible
- Equipment take back / refurbishment – we will look at everything within store and try to reuse, repurpose and refurbish, reducing projects costs and our environmental impact
We believe this approach will enhance refit/refurb projects moving forward, it will reduce programmes to maximise trading, as well as reducing project costs, ensuring we achieve tighter budgets without compromising on safety or quality.
